a very english christmas

christmas this year was a little different! we had our very good friend luke staying with us, and together we spent the weekend with the thompson family in east sussex. we ate goose and ham, and sprouts! altogether it was a fantastic weekend filled with country walks, good company and much frivolity!

we finally got diana film number two developed. photos range from budapest, to austria to turkey and perhaps some other places in between! clearly still learning how the thing actually works- but created some cool effects nonetheless (we think!)

some/one of these will obviously not be making the cut to go on the tree! however, it was a fun mid-week activity, we are slowly getting our flat all dressed up for christmas! this week a trip to the winter wonderland at hyde park is on the list also!

come on you spurs

last week we got lucky with some tickets to the tottenham spurs vs paok salonika (a greek team) at white hart lane. unfortunately the spurs went down 2-1, but there was a great atmosphere (shirtless greek fanaticss showed the spurs fans how it's done) and it was an awesome introduction to english football!

to market, to market

today we went to borough markets for lunch. we spent a good few hours browsing the delicious food stalls, making use of the nice weather. we devoured gourmet toasted cheese sandwiches and possibly the best hot chocolate ever.  we also bought our first christmas tree together- which tonight we will be decorating!

now we are settled and both working we are spending more time apart. this weekend rose worked whilst tobes explored the world press photo exhibition and enjoying some london street buskers (bubbles!)

beginning to look a lot like christmas...

last night we went ice skating with some friends at the natural history museum. it was all lit up with fairy lights and christmas trees, this is the first ice rink in london to open for the christmas season!
