one week in berlin

we have just wrapped up one week in berlin. we rode segways and trams and trains. we visited prisons, ping pong clubs, beach bars, tram bars, countless museums, memorials and artists compounds, and various parts of the remaining wall. it was a big week!

the happiest place on earth

during our stay in copenhagen we spent an evening in the tivoli gardens; the inspiration for disney land! the park was filled with flowers, vintage street lights, rides and delicious treats!

this is what 30 euros gets you in copenhagen! our little corner was actually cosy enough- though we could have done without the world champion snorer on the last night!

all things belgium

last week we visited belgium for a day, we caught the train to antwerp in the morning and spent the afternoon in brussels. we let lonely planet guide us through the key sites, and otherwise we were guided through town by the countless chocolatiers!

koninginnedag (queen's day)

queen's day, a celebration of the queens birthday throughout the netherlands- we celebrated on the canals of amsterdam. on this visit to amsterdam the streets were busier, we were wearing orange and we were on a boat (and yes- we sang the song)! thank you to our friend luke- a boozy boat cruise makes a very original wedding gift!
