about town..

in amongst our day trips we did actually spend some time in dublin!

we hit plenty of the sites; we toured kilmainham prison and the guinness storehouse, and went to trinity college to see the book of kells, we visited christchurch and the merrion square sunday art market. we walked o'connell and grafton streets and stopped in lots of cafes, pubs and food markets.

belfast touring

visiting belfast. highlights were seeing the amazing titanic museum (equally interesting inside and out) and chatting with our driver paddy, who helped us make sense of ireland's history.

dalkey daytrip!

on a rainy afternoon last week we went to visit the seaside town of dalkey, we had lunch in town and then walked out to see the water. the rain and cold didn't stop the locals from jumping in!

howth (rhymes with boat)

earlier this week we jumped on the train to visit the small fishing village of howth, to catch up with old friends; the rowe family. we visited deer park, the site of howth castle, as well as having a seafood lunch and tour of the town. down by the docks we saw a grey seal hoping to grab some leftovers off a fishing boat!

over dinner we celebrated the queen's jubilee, complete with themed hats!
