today we visited the ruins of the ancient city of ephesus. there was so much left behind to see and so much reconstruction work has been carried out that you can really get a sense of what the city may have been like, far more than the cites of troy and pompeii that we had previously visited. we were taken by surprise and really enjoyed the day exploring!
