the fattest duck

 
 
 ( beetroot with horseradish cream)
 (nitro poached aperitifs) 
 (red cabbage gazpacho with pommery grain mustard ice cream)

( jelly of quail, crayfish cream, chicken liver parfait, oak moss and truffle toast)
 (roast foie gras)
(snail porridge, with iberico bellota ham and shaved fennel)
 (the mad hatter's tea party; mock turtle soup, pocket watch and toast sandwich)
 (the sound of the sea)
 
 (salmon poached in a liquorice gel)

  (lamb with cucumber)
 (hot and iced tea)
 (macerated strawberries, with olive oil biscuit, chamomile and coriander jelly and ice cream cornet)
 (the bfg, black forest gateau)
 (whisk(e)y) wine gums)
 (a kid in a sweet shop, treats to take home! including, coconut baccy, apple pie caramel, mandarin jelly aerated chocolate and the queen of hearts)
(and then there were all of the wines to match!)
oh wow.

on wednesday, to celebrate the end our holiday time with mum and dad, we went to the heston blumenthal's the fat duck. it was a solid four hour sitting of fourteen courses, every one was both delicious and theatrical.

what an amazing experience. thank you to tom, alice, steph and craig for the most incredible wedding gift!
